From a very early age I felt deeply that, at some ultimate point of illumination — math, science, theology, and art all converge to express the same fundamental truth about the nature of reality. Now breakthroughs in quantum physics are moving us closer and closer to this convergence. We are seeing that layers of reality — infinitely interlocking possibilities infused with consciousness — create the world of matter we inhabit. As difficult as it is the conceptualize everything, everywhere, all the time, it is our innate ability to move through this unseen architecture and choose our reality that makes us truly human. This series of work attempts to place us within the building blocks and layers of reality.
The Unseen Architecture paintings span the past two decades, just as long as I’ve been painting, with some of the individual pieces actually taking on new layers over time.
